Fire Training

Whether you are a small group or company or an international plc Three Ways Fire Prevention Services can supply the training you want. All staff are trained to British Fire Consortium standard and we continually update our training as new information is released by HSE or BFC. Our client base is growing rapidly since the introduction of our fire simulator. This includes The British Nuclear Group & Matthew Clarks As a company we have over 50 years fire fighting experience and we are able to pass on our knowledge through the courses we run. We offer two main types of course which are Fire Extinguisher Awareness training and Fire Warden/marshal training. Since September 2004 we can now offer fire courses for Lab personal which enables staff who deal with alcohols and white spirit to train using these products subject to your environment availability. We can also come to you and carry out your fire drill or over see where you may be able to improve on your evacuation procedures.

Fire Warden/Marshall Training

The second course covers all the above and looks at the evacuation procedures of your work place and how best to clear the area in a safe and controlled manor. Candidates will be shown how to recognise problems arising before they become a fire risk. You will also learn first aid fire fighting skills which could mean the difference of whether you have a place to work the next day or not. Remember large fires always start small. Along with role call techniques and liasing with the fire service this course is proving to be the choice of most of our clients. Both of the courses we offer are presented in power point using the latest information available along with CD ROM interactive tasks and video presentations. All candidates will receive a certificate of attendance along with a workbook.

Fire Extinguisher Training

The first course looks at the types of extinguisher available and how they work. Candidates will also receive hands on live fire training with all the different types of extinguisher available on the market today which is carried out on a gas simulator unit which is not only very safe as it has a built in emergency cut off. It produces minimal smoke which means you’re not going to have your neighbours calling the fire brigade in error or the environment agency. It requires an area of about four square meters to carry out the training so space needed is pretty small. All persons attending will receive a certificate of attendance and a work book for reference.
